How to make Jelly Beans taste like steak.

So I woke up this morning planning on an 18 mile run with my teammates in Ashland. Then my car got stuck in a snow back on a little side street near our house and I needed to have AAA pull me out. Needless to say that took long enough so that I was unable to make the team run. So instead I punished myself with a lonely 21 miler(my first 20+ of this training). I can honestly say that by the end of the run I had run out of stuff to think about. On these long runs I have been carrying a small bag of Jelly Beans and man those things taste good when you are burning thru 2400 calories.

  1. Kevin, here is a jelly bean guide for you...jelly bellies are delicious and can be enjoyed year-round. You can't eat them one at a time, you need to grab a handful at once so that you combine those melon, kiwi, and popcorn flavored sugar balls at once.

Brach's traditional jelly beans are the best for Easter time. They start harvesting these little morsals of goodness in mid-January to get them on the shelves mid-Feb. You have to hurry since they are usually sold out about a month before Easter.

All the rest are pretenders...Starburst, Skittles, Jolly Rancher all have their own disgusting versions as do some other generic or no-name brands. Stick with the good stuff and keep the inferior product off the streets.
